I need to raise $16,000 to participate in The World Race!

While I would love to say that this trip is absolutely free, unfortunately international philanthropy does come at a cost. The price for my trip is $16,000 and I have been avidly trying to raise this support. Dear Friends and Family,

A few months ago I heard a song by Matthew West called "The Motions." The chorus sang:

"I don't wanna spend my whole life asking,"What if I had given everything,instead of going through the motions?"

It was at this point I realized...I had to do something different with my life. I had done what you were supposed to do as a 24 year old girl. I had gone to college and finished in time. I had moved to the city and found a great paying job. Somehow, I was able to get myself and friends into nearly any hot spot in NYC, and I had fallen in love. It would seem that things were going according to plan, and running pretty smoothly. Yet, I still felt unfufilled.

I was excited when I came across the opportunity to travel and serve others. I applied to “The World Race” and was accepted. I will be traveling to 11 countries in 11 months doing charity work around the world. I thank God for this opportunity and feel both nervous and excited about where my life is taking me. I am contacting you because at some point you made an impact on my life. I am now given an opportunity to make an impact on the lives of others. I would be honored if you could partner financially and encouragingly with me in this mission. I must raise $16,000 for the year that goes directly to AIM. This will cover all my expenses while on the field.

I have enclosed a response card and pre-addressed envelope, which invites you to share in this ministry. Please make checks payable to Adventures In Missions. Including the enclosed card will provide AIM with all necessary information. In turn, they will send you a receipt. They request that you send all donations by 7/1/10. I know this is going to be an adventure and probably be one of the hardest things ill ever do. However, sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same. I know that this will probably change my whole outlook on life, and that I will miss everyone at home deeply. I'm thrilled to seek the plan for my life and push myself to every extreme limit. As Dave Matthews said I'm "Trying to change the world, while the world is changing us."
